Creating a GB S&S Token in Cargoes

Before you will be able to submit GB S&S Declarations in Cargoes you will need to Authorise our system to connect with HMRC. For security reasons we are unable to complete the following steps on your behalf.

1. Open the Safety and Security Dashboard in Cargoes. To access the dashboard page, click the ‘Manage’ tab on the top left of the home screen and select ‘Safety & Security’ from the dropdown menu.

2. Click on ‘Create GB S&S Token’ located in the top-right of the screen.

1. You will then be redirected to the Government Gateway site. Click ‘Continue’ followed by ‘Sign in to Government Gateway’.

Note: You will need to ensure you are logging into the Government Gateway using your Company’s Admin credentials. Please do not login to the Gateway using a personal account.

1. Follow the instructions on the Government Gateway portal to authorize Cargoes to connect with HMRC on your behalf.

1. Select Continue

1. Click on Sign in to the HMRC online services and add relevant details for authorisation.

1. Once completed and user clicks on sign in, this loads the page for user to give permission as below

1. Once completed, the page will reload and show ‘Please close this browser tab’. This means the token has been successfully authorized and you can now return to Cargoes and begin submitting GB S&S Declarations.

Note: The below link can be used to verify that your GB S&S Token has successfully been generated. Once logged in to the Government Gateway portal you will see ‘BEEMS’ listed as an authorized service.

Also note that permissions lasts 18 months after which a new token will need to be generated.

Errors

If you receive the error message "'' INVALID_CREDENTIALS - Invalid Authentication information provided'', you will need to complete the above steps.
